A great variety of activities are available to develop personal interests and leadership, build school spirit and initiate involvement in unique projects. Some clubs have a long history at DWA and are offered yearly. Others are established at the request of students and may change annually. Some clubs are multi-aged, while others are just for specific grades.

WHAT IS A DWA DRAGON?
A Dragon works collaboratively with others, leads by example and inspires others to be their best!
To promote these values and build upon our community spirit, we have developed and exclusive VIP program for our student community. All students have special privileges they can use throughout the year. These unique privileges are based on student feedback about what the children thought would be special for themselves.

STUDENT COUNCIL
THE STUDENTS DON’T JUST ATTEND DELTA WEST ACADEMY, THEY GET INVOLVED!
Our Student Council is an opportunity for the students to develop meaningful leadership and entrepreneurial skills. They work with the teachers and administration to help run annual events that serve the greater Calgary community and DWA, or create new initiatives for the school. Our students have a strong voice and deliberate action through their Student Council work.
Some of the many projects Student Council have developed are:
